Deworming Our Toy and Mini Poodle Puppies

At Ember Hills Poodles, raising healthy Toy Poodle and Mini Poodle puppies starts long before they go home with their new families. One of the most important parts of early puppy care is a comprehensive deworming program designed to protect puppies from common intestinal parasites.

Because puppies can be exposed to worms before birth or through their mother's milk, routine deworming is an essential part of responsible breeding and preventative health care.

Our Puppy Deworming Protocol

To help ensure every puppy gets the healthiest possible start, Ember Hills Poodles follows a regular deworming schedule beginning at an early age.

2 Weeks of Age

• First deworming treatment

4 Weeks of Age

• Second deworming treatment

​

6 Weeks of Age

• Third deworming treatment

​​

8 Weeks of Age

• Fourth deworming treatment

​​

Additional deworming may be performed as needed based on veterinary recommendations, fecal testing, and individual puppy health.

Why Deworming Is Important

Intestinal parasites are common in young puppies and can affect growth, digestion, nutrient absorption, and overall health. Common parasites include:
